BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ALL BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS OF THE DAY!

MAY GOD'S LOVE SURROUND YOUR LIFE AS YOU CELEBRATE YOUR MOST SPECIAL DAY !

WORDS OF WISDOM

"Lord Jesus, you have the words of everlasting life. Help me to  cast aside doubt and fear and to embrace your word with trust and joy. I  surrender my life to you. Be the Lord and Captain of my heart, my will, my  thoughts and my actions. May there be nothing which keeps me from you and your  love." In your Name, I pray.  Amen.

Prayer to continue to fight for God

Lord, if your people still have need of my services, I will not avoid the toil. Your will be done. I have fought the good fight long enough. Yet if you bid me continue to hold the battle line in defense of your camp, I will never beg to be excused from failing strength. I will do the work you entrust to me. While you command, I will fight beneath your banner. Amen

CONGRATULATIONS!

ABOUT TOURISM INDUSTRY IN LABASON

Hellow, Labasonians,

Welll said talaga 'yong comments ninyo on tourism in Labason. Especially from my friend Mar-ann Orcullo and Remy Yespot as started by Fr. Gene. Yes, nice ideas. I remember when I saw the tourists in Paris and other European countries and I said to myself when will these number of tourists come to the Philippines, then to Labason parang impossible, however, nothing is impossible with God. Then, when I went home last Fiesta in April. I found out that RVM sisters were very excited to "manginhas" sa "honasan" of the Alpuerto's. Then I remembered how we enjoyed picking up seashells years back when we were still children. Now I know, the Labason is not the same anymore where we can pick up cans of seashells para tunoan sa panihapon. So our "honasan" and beaches are good tourism potentials. However, I do not like the idea of foreign investors harvesting and harassing our natural areas. it should be locally-operated. I had seen resorts sprouting in our town now. We hope they will increase soon. I think some basic amenities are now available in our town. Our place is now accessible easily from Zamboanga City or Dipolog City where the airports are due to concrete roads established. With more investors we can still develop our town to be tourist-ready. I can only pray that we can improve the place. We can be the visionaries, ourselves. So forward, Labasonians.
Hi, Tess good observation. The proliferation of local resorts in Labason will for sure continue and that's not necessarily a bad thing. But If you want to see part of Labason at it's purest I invite you to look at my pics sa akong albums. I can't blame the RVM sisters for getting excited. The Alpuerto portion of Lopoc is meant to be preserved for you, all Labasonians, and the future generations to cherish and enjoy. However to really appreciate it you have to be there...
Akong suggestion nga unta ilang develop ang mga barangay road paingun sa beach more or less 12 meters wide para maka sulud ang mga service ..ang unang nindut sa atong lugar ang atong beach rajud .. kung ma develop ang mga dalan diha daghan bisita maligo diha ug ang mga tapad mga lots mahimuan ug payag, native house, parking area ug  duna c.r. or inland swimming pools .. nindut kaayo ...Remember nga ang value sa lots naa sa right of way kung daku imung dalan mahal usab ang lots ...kay daghan mo develop sa atong lugar .. ako interesado sad mo develop ...God Bless
For me, one tourist attraction will be a mountain trail that gives us a view of Labason shore area. From the shore of Labason you see the mountain that ranges from Pianon to La Union. I can call it Mountain Range Trail.

I could still remember when I was still first year high school, together with my brother and cousin, we walked the mountain range of Labason. From Poblacion, we took the motorcab that brought us in Kunungay, now Ubay. From the market site, we started the ascend to the village of Pianon, In our return we decided to follow the contour of the mountain that gave us the constant view of the plain. We made a rest on that site of the reservoir in San Isidro. The water project that never came to reality. We passed the sitio called Mahayahay, part of Lawagan. Then we ended up in elementary school of La Union. But we continued the trail at the back of the school down to the water dam. The water canal has its own trail. Instead of taking the road, we used the side of the river as added thrill that brought us back to Poblacion's market. It was not that long because we forgot the time as we were mesmerized by seaside view and the scenery of the plain including the ricefields and coconut plantations. It was not just healthy for our lungs but also for our eyes.

MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO

8 REASONS WHY MEN CHEAT

Why do men cheat on their wives?

Most men don’t cheat because they’ve been seduced by a white supremacist with ginormous boobs and a body covered in tattoos. (Poor Sandra Bullock is probably one of the few who’s ever had to deal with that unfortunate scenario.) Apparently, though, a ton of other triggers prompt guys to deceive way-too-good-for-them women. The following stories, submitted by actual men, reveal the real reasons they are unfaithful. Anonymity is provided for their protection from mobs of angry women and scorned exes.

1. We like a full plate.

“Men cheat for sex! If I’m happy with the chocolate chip cookie, I’ll get another, but if I crave the chocolate sundae with extra sprinkles, you’d best believe Daddy is going to order it up! It’s also like a buffet. There is so much to choose from. You don’t go to Ponderosa and just get the chicken wings; you throw as much on your plate as possible.”

2. It’s the nature of the beast.

“The concept of monogamy conflicts entirely with male biological impulses, which have evolved over millions of years to promote procreation. Ultimately, biology will always prevail. So, it shouldn’t even be considered cheating. Men are only doing what nature intended.

“Lifelong monogamy (marriage) is strictly a social construct, the advent of which is relatively recent in the course of human existence — one that actually serves as a barrier to procreation in modern society, because in many cultures, you are expected to marry before having children. While it may have served a beneficial purpose at one time, it has largely outlived its usefulness. Social and technological advances that have enabled women to bear and provide for their offspring independently have eliminated the utility of marriage.”

3. History should repeat itself.

“King David had 5,000 concubines and fathered a nation. Men can literally father thousands of children in a lifetime, while women can only have a few. This is why a man needs to take his seed to others on occasion. Monogamy goes against evolution and history. Practice safe sex, and keep hope alive.”

4. She duped me!

“When a guy goes out with a girl for the first time, she tries to look casual but probably spends a ton of time preparing for the date — perhaps even more time than a formal event. Since first impressions are most important, and looks are an important part of the selection process, she has to look her best.

“If she is interested and he asks her out on a few more dates, she’s probably in the gym more and grooming more often in the hope that a relationship can form. Not only is she looking beautiful, but she is being sweet, caring and not psycho… all of the characteristics the male is looking for. She is also ‘putting out’ often as more dates occur. She will be positively reinforced with more dates. The male thinks this is her norm and is happy.

“Unfortunately, after a couple months, this ‘proving process’ ends and the couple has The Talk. Sooner rather than later, her sweatpants come out, the gym card gets lost, and the crazy comes out to play. He realizes he was duped. This is the typical time a girl should receive walking papers. However, if the male really wants to stick out the relationship, then anything in a skirt and a smile will do.

“Alcohol, sun dresses, miniskirts, short shorts, 22-year olds and bachelor parties are a few other reasons men cheat.”

5. It’s all about the thrill.

“Why do people go on roller coasters? For the thrill. You may be perfectly content walking around an amusement park eating elephant ears… but eventually you’ll want more excitement.”

6. A wise man once said…

“Someone much wiser than me once said, ‘Look at that amazing girl over there… someone is sick of her.’ The point being, even what might seem great to start can become stagnant over time.”

7What are the odds?

“There are 6 billion people in the world, and slightly more than half of those are women. Based on stats alone, what are the odds you’ve found the perfect person? I haven’t yet met 3.2 billion women, so I’d have to be pretty lucky to have found the needle in the haystack already. Besides, I’m not that lucky.”

8. The good guy?

“Not all men are pigs. I plan to stay loyal thanks to new breakthrough developments in 3D internet porn.”

10 REASONS WOMEN CHEAT

Number 10

Not enough sex

Remember the good old days when you could stay up forever fooling around? Then responsibility entered the mix — and kids — and before you knew it, sleep was more important than sex. Well, women want to feel wanted. If you’re not making her feel that way, she could seek it elsewhere. To keep that spark alive, ask her out on date nights, send her provocative e-mails at lunch, and by all means, don’t let life get in the way of kissing, cuddling and sex.

Number 9

Being the bad girl

Just as men feel the urge to sow their wild oats, some women have an inner sex kitten just waiting to be unleashed — and when the beast escapes from the cage, look out. This frisky behavior usually rears its ugly head in response to some sort of life change — major weight loss, new job, new friends, mid-life crisis, etc. Keep the lines of communication open and she’ll be more likely to talk to you about what’s going on instead of spilling her guts to a stranger in the night.

Number 8

Self-esteem

Sex can be an instant pick-me-up; a self-esteem booster that makes women feel sexier, more beautiful and more loved. If your wife or girlfriend has self-esteem issues, it doesn’t mean she’s automatically going to cheat — and it’s certainly not your fault if she does — but there are ways to make her feel secure in the relationship that could help her from straying. Pay attention to her, ask her questions and don’t hold back on compliments — a little flattery goes a long way with women.

Number 7

Revenge/payback for past wrongs

No, you didn’t cheat, but whether you blew your retirement fund in Vegas or got caught in a big lie, you did break her trust (and, possibly, her heart). She feels wounded and betrayed — and wants to hurt you the same way you hurt her. To regain her trust, it’s not enough just to tell her you’re sorry; you have to show her. Actions speak louder than words.

Number 6

Lack of intimacy

You have it all: the house, the two-car garage and the two-and-a-half bathrooms — at least on the outside. But inside, the relationship is lacking the one thing women want most: intimacy. It’s not just sex that makes women feel connected in a relationship; it’s touching, kissing, cuddling, and communicating. Women crave it, and she could seek it elsewhere if she’s not getting it at home. To improve intimacy, spend quality time together, give her a foot massage, make a romantic dinner for two — anything that will give her a sense of unity and closeness.

A few more warning signs and reasons women cheat…

Number 5

Feeling neglected/ignored/underappreciated

Women wear many hats in a relationship — housekeeper, errand-runner, grocery shopper, babysitter, etc. When she feels more like a maid than a girlfriend/wife, that’s when she could stray. The fact that you spend all your time at work or on the golf course gives her double reason to seek attention elsewhere. No, you can’t quit your job, but you can thank her for all her selfless deeds — and do your share around the house.

Number 4

Your emotional withdrawal

Women are emotional beings. Not only do they need physical support, but they also need emotional support. Once you retreat from the relationship, she sees it as a sign that things are through — a breakup is inevitable. So, she’s not really cheating, she’s moving on. To avoid this, be present in the relationship. Yes, that means sharing your icky feelings, but it’s better than the alternative, right?

Number 3

Bedroom boredom

Sex can become monotonous if you let it — the same position; the same setting; the same person. An affair adds adventure and gets her adrenalin flowing. To avoid routine, avoid repetition. Sweep her away for the weekend, make out at the movies, kiss her for no reason at all… The unexpected adds excitement.

Number 2

Exit strategy

Instead of breaking up with you, she cheats on you. That way she doesn’t have to deal with the broken relationship, which is much harder to fix. An affair is the easy way out — or at least that’s how she sees it. That’s another reason communication is key. Let her know that she can talk to you about anything and that you love her enough to work through any bumps in the relationship road.

Number 1

Revenge for your cheating

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Because you cheated, she wants to get back at you and give you a dose of your own medicine. Cheating is her vengeance, her chance to even the playing field. No, you can’t undo your indiscretion, but you can ask for her forgiveness, assure her it will never happen again and suggest couples therapy to help you get through this tough time.

Her cheating heart

When you add up all the reasons women cheat, it’s usually her heart (or her ego) that needs healing, not her libido. Keep the lines of communication open, be supportive and encouraging and work at keeping that spark ignited. In other words: Don’t give her a reason to stray.
